Sibling Rivalry in the New Age
I slit my brother’s neck
with an iPhone protection cover
then steal his e-cigarette.
The vape leaks elevators
of blood
and my phone dials
orphans
lost in ruined cities
under ancient names.
Text From Hell
I’ll put my phone
on mute,
lay down beside you
and watch the ceiling fan swing.
The heat, the heat—
I want to preserve you
in formaldehyde.
Red Carpet
There’s a piece
of flesh
draped over one shoulder.
It has one eye,
and it shivers.
“What are you wearing today?”
