I know the room and your body
enclosed within its walls.
I know the time, date, and address.
I know that you didn’t ask for me,
and that you’d resumed your life
as if I had never slept under your skin.
I know the sound of your voice screaming
inside another’s throat forever.
I know the ache.
I know the way it feels
when I am no longer dreaming
and you forget my name.
